New Zealand to be represented at 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships in Manama, Bahrain

2019 IMMAF-WMMAA World Championships
New Zealand will be represented at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. The combat sports event will take place at the Khalifa Sports City from November 10-16, 2019.

Including New Zealand, 49 countries will be represented at the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships. It will be held in parallel with the 2019 Junior World Championships.

Under the auspices of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships is hosted by the Bahrain MMA Federation (BMMAF). Audience entry to the arena is free.

The action will be streamed live internationally at IMMAF.TV. Here is the list of nine MMA fighters representing New Zealand at the tournament:
  1. Hannah Dawson - Women's Flyweight 56.7 kg (125 lbs)
  2. Prashanth Guda - Men's Bantamweight 61.2 kg (135 lbs)
  3. Hadyn Beaven - Men's Featherweight 65.8 kg (145 lbs)
  4. Michelle Montague - Women's Lightweight 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
  5. Jahnis Bowden - Men's Lightweight 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
  6. Mel Webster - Women's Lightweight 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
  7. Talor Wetere - Men's Welterweight 77.1 kg (170 lbs)
  8. Ezekiel Wetere - Men's Middleweight 83.9 kg (185 lbs)
  9. Dafydd Sanders - Men's Light Heavyweight 93 kg (205 lbs)
On November 10, 2019, there will be a tournament draw and the competition will run from November 11-14, 2019 and on November 16, 2019 starting at 11 a.m. (UTC +3) each day. All matches will take place under Unified Amateur MMA Rules.
